This recipe contains my go to french fry recipe. Although I don’t bake the fries, instead I cook them in the air fryer. My air fryer has 5 trays so it allows me to cook larger meals in it. Much needed since I’ve got two teenagers and a tween to feed each night!
I used to have this air fryer and am so happy with the upgrade to a model with trays instead. Now I can make all I need for the whole family…I just have to rotate the trays periodically throughout the cooking time. Small price to pay in my eyes!
This recipe had my kids going back for seconds. Lexie said she wasn’t sure if she’d like it so much without the fries on top. I have to agree with her. I think they made the recipe and brought all of the flavors together into a yummy bite. They were shocked to learn that I made the fries and they didn’t come out of a bag. I’m trying to take that as a compliment 🙂
Substitutions/Additions for Lomo Saltado (Peruvian Beef Stir Fry):
- used 4 potatoes…my kids love their fries
- only coated the fries with 1 teaspoon of olive oil instead of 2
- substituted venison steaks for the lean sirloin
- used 1 jalapeno instead of 2
- used one tomato instead of two…only because I only had one on hand
