This Crock Pot Pulled Pork could not be any easier. Only two ingredients needed for a delicious, moist, pulled pork that can be served in so many ways!
This is another crock pot recipe that I have made while camping 🙂 Put the roast and root beer in the crock pot in the morning and return the campsite in the evening for a delicious meal. Serve on buns plain or with BBQ sauce. I like a little crunch so I like to add shredded cabbage to my sandwich or forgo the bun altogether and just eat the pork over the cabbage. I also like this pulled pork over a baked potato. If you like sauerkraut, that is also a taste addition. So many options when it comes to serving this meat.
My crock pot is a lifesaver. Even on those days when I can’t possibly find the time to make dinner, I can usually set my alarm for a little earlier to put together a crock pot meal in the morning. For this recipe, the prep is less than 5 minutes. If you’re looking to invest in a new crockpot, be sure to get one with a digital timer. This prevents your food from overcooking but still keeps it warm so it is ready to eat when you arrive home from work.
Tips from Cooking After Class for making Crock Pot Pulled Pork:
- Be as creative as you’d like when it comes to serving this meat. If you have leftovers, it is great in these “Leftovers” Biscuit Cups. I also used some of the leftovers for some BBQ Pork Quesadillas (bbq sauce, pulled pork, and cheese).
Crock Pot Pulled Pork
Ingredients
- Pork Roast
- Can of Rootbeer
Directions
- Place a pork roast into a crock pot. I use a crock pot liner for easy clean up. Pour in one can of root beer. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Shred the pork and let it absorb some of juices as it cooks for about 30 more minutes. If you don’t have time for the additional 30 minutes, just use a slotted spoon to serve the pork. Eat plain, with BBQ sauce, on a bun, however you would like!
